Amber Peveler and Randall Beaty Arrest

 

On February 16, 2012, the Hendersonville Police Department, working in coordination with the U.S. Marshall’s Office, arrested 27 years of age, Randall Thomas Beaty for first degree murder and aggravated child abuse.  Beaty was arrested in Mississippi and he has waived extradition.  Currently he is being transported from Mississippi to the Sumner County Jail.    

 

Amber Peveler, 29 yoa, of Hendersonville, Tennessee later turned herself in at the Sumner County Sheriff’s Department.  Peveler was charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect as well as reckless endangerment. 

 

These charges are the result of an investigation that began on October 29, 2010 when 9 month old Shayla Peveler, the daughter of Amber Peveler, was admitted to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital with severe injuries.  On October 31, 2010 Shayla Peveler was pronounced dead at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital as a result of those injuries.

 

Amber Peveler’s bond is sat at $100,000.00 and she is scheduled to appear in Criminal Court for arraignment on February 24, 2012 at 8:30 am.

 

The bond for Randall Thomas Beaty will be set after he is booked into the Sumner County Jail.  His arraignment date is also set for February 24, 2012 at 8:30 am.

 

A press conference is scheduled at the Hendersonville Police Department at 5:00 pm.
