The Hendersonville Police Department recovered the black Jeep Patriot on October 18, 2017 at an apartment complex in the Elm Hill Pike area of Nashville. Three 17 year old juveniles have been taken into custody and are currently being detained at Sumner County Juvenile Detention for the theft of the Jeep, another vehicle and multiple burglaries.
The Hendersonville Police Department is still looking for information that would lead to the recovery of the 2016 black Jeep Patriot that is also connected to a rash of car burglaries in Hendersonville. A video of the suspect attempting to break into another car has been located and attached to this media release.
Many times the vehicles that are stolen are stored in the parking lots of an apartment complex, shopping center or public parking area. Anyone who recognizes that a black Jeep Patriot has been abandoned in a parking lot is encouraged to contact the Hendersonville Crime Stoppers at 615-573-5400 or call the Criminal Investigation Division at 615-264-5303.
The Hendersonville Police Department is currently investigating the theft of a 2016 Jeep Patriot that was stolen overnight from the Millstone Subdivision in Hendersonville. The subject(s) responsible are believed to also be responsible for the burglary of vehicles in the area.
The Hendersonville Police Department is also investigating numerous burglaries that occurred in the Marina Pointe and The Grande at Indian Lake apartment communities around the same time. It is unknown at this time if these incidents are indeed connected to the Millstone Subdivision incidents but further investigation into the matter will occur. Four suspects from the Marina Pointe and The Grande at Indian Lake incidents were seen fleeing in a Black Jeep SUV.
