On February 3, 2018, at approximately 5:00 pm, the Hendersonville Police Department responded to the area of Susan Drive in response to a robbery complaint. The victims stated that they contacted the suspects on an app known as “offer up”, to do repair work on a damaged vehicle that had body damage. The three suspects worked on the vehicle for about one hour before displaying a weapon and robbing the victim. One of the suspects is described as:
White/Male, possibly middle eastern decent, 6’-02” to 6’-03”, heavy set, round face and a groomed beard, Gray pants, black jacket and a beanie hat.
The other two suspects had very little interaction with the victim. During the investigation, it was determined that there was about a two-hour delay in reporting the crime due to the fear that the victims had. The incident took place at about 3:00 pm. They were operating a 2002 to 2006 royal blue minivan, possibly a Chrysler with factory wheels.
Due to the circumstances in this crime, it appears that it is possible that the suspects committed other crimes in the same manner. Anyone with information regarding this or other crime is encouraged to call the Hendersonville Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 615-264-5303 or Hendersonville Crime Stoppers at 615-573-5400.
