2 Caught in the Act Attempting to Steal Enclosed Trailer

On October 3rd, 2013 shortly before 1 am, Sgt. Kevin Folsom was patrolling area businesses when he observed two white males at the rear of 699 West Main Street at an enclosed trailer. Cpl. Russell Lara, MPO. Bill Frentz, and Sgt. Jimmy Garrett assisted Sgt. Folsom with the investigation. They assisted in locating bolt cutters, cut locks from the trailer, and other items used to steal trailers, some of which were hidden in the wooded area behind the business. The subjects had cut the locks from the trailer and were in the process of preparing the trailer for transport when Sgt. Folsom discovered them. Both suspects also had active warrants for their arrest in surrounded counties.

Both suspects were transported to the Sumner County Jail charged with Theft over $1,000.00.

Randell Bowman faces additional charges of Criminal Impersonation, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Vandalism.


Arrestees: Randell L. Bowman, 31 years old, of Ashland City

                     Eric R. Oldham, 25 years old, of Ashland City


These subjects are scheduled for court on November 13th, 2013 in Sumner County General Sessions.
