On 10-10-2013 at approximately 2:19 am a report of a stabbing was called into the Hendersonville Police Department at 251 New Shackle Island Road, Brookside Apartments. Upon the arrival officers, they located a 22 year old white male sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot. The victim appeared to have one stab wound to his abdomen. The victim was transported to the Hendersonville Hospital and then transferred to Skyline Medical Center by Sumner County EMS ambulance. Witnesses state that the victim and John Stephens 4th ,the suspect, had gotten into a physical altercation in the parking lot of the apartment complex where the victim was stabbed. The witnesses and victim were able to identify Stephens as the suspect. The Hendersonville Police Department contacted the Robertson County Sheriff’s Department and asked if they could check for Stephens at his last known address in their county. The Robertson County Sheriff’s Department was able to locate and take Stephens into custody for this police department at his residence on Charles Lane in Whitehouse Tennessee. John Stephens 4th is being charged with Attempted Homicide. The investigation is still continuing at this time to determine the cause of the altercation. The victim has been taken into surgery at this time and his condition is unknown.

 

As more information such as the victim’s condition, bond, court date, and booking photo for the suspect will be provided as soon as possible.

 

The identity of the victim is pending notification of family.
