On Saturday, 9-22-12, at approx. 0833 hrs, Officers were dispatched to 109 White Oak Ct. in Hendersonville on a possible hostage situation. The complainant advised dispatch that she arrived at the home this morning to find a note and a key outside of the home. The note stated that the adult female and her 11 year old son were inside and were being held against their will, and that the adult female had already been physically assaulted by the suspect. The note requested that the police be called and that the suspect was in possession of a knife.
Officers arrived on the scene and made their approach to the home. Contact was made with the adult female victim through a second story window. She provided officers with a key to the front door and advised the suspect was sitting in a recliner just inside the door. Officers made entry into the home and immediately took the suspect into custody without incident.
Tod E. Thomen, a 42 year old white male was arrested at the scene and transported to the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office. His charges at the time of his arrest are Violation of an Order of Protection, Aggravated Assault (Domestic), Aggravated Kidnapping, and Especially Aggravated Kidnapping.
