Arrest of shooting suspects
On March 30th, 2011 at approximately 6:25 pm the Hendersonville Police Department received a call of shots fired at 1037 Centerpoint Road in Hendersonville. The victim reported that as she drove into the apartment complex someone had shot her van window out from a field next to the roadway. As officers arrived on the scene an alert citizen called in to report two subjects running between two vacant homes on Linden Drive which is adjacent to the field. Sgt. Tim Nicholson, Cpl. Russell Lara, MPO Reginald Marshall, and K-9 Officer Robert Buttry responded to the area and took two subjects into custody who were hiding in a creek bed behind the property. Also recovered from the area was a pellet gun which had been hidden by the subjects. One subject, Charles Becker, white male, 18 years of age, of Chipwood Drive in Hendersonville has been charged with two (2) counts of Reckless Endangerment, Criminal Trespassing, two (2) counts of Vandalism, (one over $500.00 and the other under $500.00) and one count of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and was transported to the Sumner County Jail. The second subject, a 17 year old white male juvenile also of Hendersonville, was charged with two (2) counts of Reckless Endangerment, Criminal Trespassing, two (2) counts of Vandalism, (one over $500.00 and the other under $500.00) and was transported to the Sumner County Juvenile Detention Center. Both will face a judge next month.
