Credit Card Fraud Arrest Cheri Akins and Darnell Gholston

On August 3, 2011, the Hendersonville Police Department received a report from a resident in reference to her credit card being stolen. She stated that her card was being fraudulently used at different locations. Subsequent investigation revealed the identity of two subjects.



On 09-30-2011, Detective Smith served warrants on the following two subjects at the Sumner County Jail.



Chere Akins, age 20, and Darnell Gholston, age 26. Both subjects are residing in the Sumner County Jail at this time on unrelated charges. Akins and Gholston were each charged with seven counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.



Both are scheduled to appear in the Sumner County General Sessions Court on 10-26-2011 at 9:00 a.m. Photographs are attached to this release.
