Arrest False Report of Robbery

On 10-01-2011 at 6:15 p.m., the Hendersonville Police Department received a complaint from Gaius William Sutton, Jr. age 26, of Derrolee Street in Gallatin, Tennessee, that he had been robbed on State Route 386 in Hendersonville. He stated that he stopped to help a motorist on the side of S.R. 386 and the motorist stabbed him in the hand with a screwdriver and robbed him of his billfold and money. Investigation revealed that this story was false and he had not been robbed or stabbed in Hendersonville. Sutton was arrested and transported to the Sumner County Jail on one count of making a False Police Report. His General Sessions court date is set for October 26, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. Bond was unknown at the time of this release. A photograph is attached.
